This notice describes the Show Me a Sandwich discovery site operated by Jacob Kalman.
Your lunch ledger stays on your device
The generator stores your recent sandwich results, ingredient-filter preferences, and sound/animation settings in browser local storage using smg- keys. It reads them to restore your Lunch Ledger and preferences. The prior archive shortlist may remain under smas-shortlist-v1. They remain until you remove them, clear site data, or your browser removes them. This storage is separate for each browser and website address.
Clear site data through your browser settings to remove saved results and preferences. If storage is blocked, the counter works and favorites last only for the current visit.
Builder and clipboard
Result links encode sandwich ingredients and selected filters in the URL. Anyone with the link can view them; the URL may also appear in browser history, hosting logs, and services where you share it. Do not treat result links as private. Copy link writes to your clipboard only when you press it; it does not read your clipboard. Native sharing and card downloads happen only when requested.
Hosting, photos, and external links
The site host and image host receive ordinary connection information, such as an IP address, requested resource, browser information, and request time, to deliver their services. When photos load directly from Wikimedia, Wikimedia receives those requests. If we host the photos ourselves, the selected asset host receives them instead. Credit and reference links lead to external services with their own privacy practices.
We use PostHog for cookieless usage analytics, including page views and generator interactions. Session replay and automatic form/click capture are disabled. Generator events do not deliberately include dietary selections; URL query strings are removed from analytics event properties. The application includes no advertising pixels, newsletter signup, accounts, payment processing, or tracking cookies. Hosting services may separately process technical data for delivery and security. See Carrd’s privacy notice and Wikimedia’s privacy notice.
If you contact us
When the contact form is enabled, we receive the name, reply email address, and message you submit. Carrd processes the submission and delivers it to our private inbox. Our email provider processes and stores the resulting correspondence. The receiving address is not included in the public site code. We use it to respond and resolve the issue, and retain it only as needed for those purposes or applicable obligations. Please do not send sensitive personal information.
Your choices and questions
You may request access, correction, or deletion of correspondence we hold about you, subject to applicable requirements. We cannot retrieve a shortlist stored only on your device. We do not sell personal information or use this application to share personal information for targeted advertising.
This is a general-audience site. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child sent us personal information so we can address it.
Changes
We will update this notice and its date if our practices change. New analytics, forms, advertising, or accounts require a corresponding notice update before activation.
